DRESSING ROOM
We will designate age groups to their dressing rooms on Sunday. But, there will not be room for Dream Duffel bags to be in the dressing rooms due to space constraints. Please line up the dream duffels down the hallway closest to your dressing room.
AUDIENCE / DRESS REHEARSAL
Dress rehearsal time on stage is very precious, and short. So, please keep the following in mind to ensure a smooth process for dancers and teachers.
- Please make sure your dancer is dressed, ready and waiting on the side at the time of their rehearsal. We do not have time to go looking for dancers. This is very important.
- Teachers are in the audience to look at spacing and the dance as a big picture. We have to yell so that the dancers can hear us. This is not us yelling at any dancer. It is simply us communicating with volume so that they can hear us. If you are in the audience, please sit further back in the auditorium, and do not talk so that there is no added noise.
- THERE WILL BE NO PARENTS ALLOWED IN THE DIRECT BACKSTAGE AREA (THE SIDES OF THE STAGE) DURING PRODUCTION. WE NEED THE ENTIRE AREA CLEAR FOR SAFETY REASONS.
- For the spacing portion of production, we will need the auditorium free of parents. We will invite you in at the end of the rehearsal to watch the dance.
GENERAL
While at OCCC, all dancers and family members should be either in the lobby, backstage, in the dressing room or in the auditorium. We do not have a full run of the facility. As such, please do not wander around the building.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY GIRLS / WOMEN ARE ALLOWED IN THE DRESSING ROOMS. WE WILL HAVE A SEPARATE AREA FOR THE PRE-COMPANY BOYS.
Click Here for the Dress Rehearsal Schedule at OCCC*ALL DANCERS, please arrive 30 minutes early with hair and makeup already done.
COSTUME NOTES:
UNDERWEAR / BRIEFS:
Parents, if your dancer needs a layer of coverage under any of their costumes, please purchase a nude colored SEAMLESS brief. Target has the best brand. This will only be acceptable if the brief does not show. While looking at costumes, we don't think many need this. But, please just keep this in mind if you feel that you need something. There should be no other undergarments (underwear) underneath their costume.
BRA:
Same as above goes for a bra. We recommend that dancers needing a bra use nude colored KT Tape to tape their breasts. If you need assistance on how to use KT tape, please ask us for assistance. There are several other options including nipple covers (both in silicon and paper type adhesive like a band aid) and dance bras that have a clear strap. The clear strap bra option is our LAST choice for dancers, as they still show up on stage. Please let us know if you have any questions or need any advice regarding this.
COSTUME TAGS:
Please cut out any tags that can be visible under mesh or that poke out. This is one of the biggest notes we give at dress rehearsal.
SHOES:
Please make sure that your dancer has ALL of their required shoes on at dress rehearsal.

Required Competitions for 2022-2023 Season
Our entire company is required to attend three regional dance competitions. As competition schedules are not released until the week prior to the competition, we suggest you block these dates off in your calendar now so that you can be available the entire weekend. Even if dancers are not performing that day, they may be asked to come watch group dances for teammates younger or older than them to support them and cheer them on backstage! At Premiere we want to build dancers with strong character who are team players and encouragers. Supporting the team as a whole is a priority to us!

April 14-16 - Encore, OKC
April 21-23 Stage One, OKC

This season Nationals is an optional competition! (Starting in 2024 Nationals will be mandatory!) Nationals Practice WeekNationals practice week will be from June 8 - June 14th and is required for anyone attending nationals. It is too difficult to schedule around various summer conflicts, and it is hard when rehearsals are spread over several weeks, so we as that you hold this week open for any nationals practices that are needed.

NEW! Wednesday and Thursday Rehearsals
This season some small groups will rehearse on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays. If your dancer is cast in one of these groups, and unable to make it on Wednesday and/or Thursday, we will not be able to adjust the rehearsal day. As such, if you are not flexible to come on the day that it is scheduled, you will need to be removed from that group.
Absence Policy
Attendance to class and company rehearsals are mandatory. Acceptance into this company is a commitment both in time and dedication. We only accept dancers who WANT to improve and attend class and rehearsals regularly. If a student needs to miss a rehearsal at any time they must fill out an absence request via our Google Form one week in advance.
Company Rehearsal Attendance: Not showing up without significant notification is not acceptable. Each dancer will only be allowed 3 absences for rehearsals for the season. After absence number 3, they will not be allowed any additional absences and punitive action will be taken. In addition, THERE WILL BE NO APPROVED ABSENCES FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY AND EARLY FEBRUARY. Those rehearsals are the most important of the entire year, and affect the success of our team as a whole.
Technique Class Attendance: Company members are allotted 3 absences from their required technique classes for the school year. If a company member misses more than three required technique classes they are required to make-up their missed class in another level. Parents/dancers, please stay on top of your attendance. If you know that you will be missing a class, you are more than welcome to do a make-up class in advance. If a student is ill, but not contagious, they are required to attend class and/or rehearsals and observe. Students are required to attend all classes and rehearsals during the week of a competition.
