General Notes
ARRIVAL
- ALL DANCERS, please arrive 30 minutes early with hair and makeup already done (please see detailed schedule below)
- Specific hair and make up details will be sent soon in a separate email.
HAIR/MAKEUP
- Hair and makeup will stay the same for all dances on dress rehearsal day.
- If each specific competition schedule allows for a different hairstyle, etc, that will be determined at each competition.
COSTUMES
- UNDERWEAR / BRIEFS: Parents, if your dancer needs a layer of coverage under any of their costumes, please purchase a nude colored SEAMLESS brief. Target has a good brand. This will only be acceptable if the brief does not show. While looking at costumes, we don't think many need this. But, please just keep this in mind if you feel that you need something. There should be no other undergarments (underwear) underneath their costume.
- BRA: Same as above goes for a bra. We recommend that dancers needing a bra use nude colored KT Tape to tape their breasts. If you need assistance on how to use KT tape, please ask us for assistance. There are several other options including nipple covers (both in silicon and paper type adhesive like a band aid) and dance bras that have a clear strap. The clear strap bra option is our LAST choice for dancers, as they still show up on stage. Please let us know if you have any questions or need any advice regarding this.
- COSTUME TAGS: PLEASE CUT OUT ANY AND ALL TAGS ON A COSTUME THAT MIGHT SHOW. SPECIFICALLY ANY TAG ON A SHEER COSTUME HAS TO BE CUT OUT. THIS IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST NOTES THAT I GIVE AT DRESS REHEARSAL.
- SHOES: Please make sure that your dancer has ALL of their required shoes (in the exact color and style required) on at dress rehearsal. Here is a link to the shoe details. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Y3zrVwwD4S7_-YzKA91Mz3fxBFmXDZjmMI30i2N-Hxs/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.w84d8q6ueq5r
- MISSING COSTUME PIECES: There are a few costumes, earrrings, costume pieces and/or tights that have not arrived yet, and will be sent home in the next several weeks.
