Covid-19 Policies
At Premiere, we make all of our Covid-related decisions based on a variety of input including local and national sources, as well as dance industry and studio data. Currently, Cleveland County is not under a mask mandate for indoor activities. However, we continue to stay abreast of local guidelines and recommendations.
COVID-19 Policies for the 2022-2023 Season:
- Anyone who is feeling unwell must stay home
- Families must report any known exposures or positive cases to our office
- We will notify families immediately of any exposure risk from the studio
- We require sanitation on the way in and out of the studio
- We encourage physical distancing in classes
- Masks are welcome, and encouraged, if it increases your comfort in taking class
- Lobby limitations will remain in place
Lobby Policy
At this time, we ask that parents limit lobby use as much as possible. We know that it can be important for parents to be able to walk their youngest dancers inside the building. However, from having a closed lobby previously, we saw many young dancers have an easier transition into the classroom as well as less parent/dancer separation anxiety than previously.
Safer Studio Guidelines
July 21, 2020
Our community’s health and safety is the number one priority for us here at PREMIERE. As an affiliated dance studio, we follow the More Than Just Great Dancing Safer Studio™ guidelines and standards.
We are pleased to share that our Safer Studio™ plans have earned the support of the Cleveland County Health Department which allows us to offer service continuity going forward. This means that the plans and precautions we have put into place support our ability to hold in-person classes with modifications - even during “red”.
Health is not just about avoiding sickness. It’s also about building strong bodies, minds, and hearts - something that happens in each and every class at PREMIERE!
The response to our planning and communication has been overwhelmingly positive. Thank you PREMIERE Family, for working together to minimize risk, keep our staff and students safe, and keep our studio operational. We continue to follow the highest standards of care and ask you to do the same.

Safer Studio Policy
PDC requires all staff and students to stay home when they are ill. In order to reduce community spread of Coronavirus, we follow best practices and recommendations from our local health department and from our industry association, More Than Just Great Dancing! and Youth Protection Advocates in Dance. PDC understands that unlike older children and adults, young children cannot be expected to maintain social distancing at all times. Therefore PDC focuses on a hierarchy of measures beginning keeping ill people home, followed by frequent hand cleaning and good hygiene practices, amplified cleaning, and curricular and facility adaptations to minimize contact and mingling where possible. All studio classes are backed up on an online learning platform. In the event a class is unable to be held at the studio classes will convert to an online learning platform until in-studio classes can resume.
