Pre-Company

Pre-Company is a great opportunity for our younger dancers age 5-8 who are interested in competing and want to get a taste of what our company is like. Pre-company dancers are required to take a weekly ballet/tap combo class and a weekly company class where they will rehearse their dances. They will be required to attend fewer competitions.

General Requirements

  • Open to dancers ages 5-9
  • No summer class requirements
  • Mandatory Choreography weekend: August 22-24th
  • Attend 2 local competitions per season (Feb-May)
  • Attend 30 minute rehearsal weekly per dance (1-2 dances maximum)
  • No audition required
Pre-Company dancers must be enrolled in a Ballet/Tap Combo class as well as committing to meet one extra class per week to rehearse their competition dance. Typically our Pre-Company rehearsals are held on Fridays.

Evaluation Information

There is not an audition required for dancers interested in Pre-Company. However, dancers are evaluated so that we can best group the dancers based on their level. Evaluation day will be followed by two days of choreography. Evaluations/Choreography Weekend will take place at the end of August.
